An adventure pack with skills, monsters, and gear to discover.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 101 graded mods, 39 are graded A or B, 11 C and 51 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.11.2. See the mods
The Tales of Steve is a modpack that gives Minecraft a more RPG-focused feel without adding technology or changing recipes. Its central progression features include skills and classes, reputation, and levels for tools and monsters, alongside new materials and gear. Exploration is expanded with structures and dungeons from Roguelike Dungeons, Recurrent Complex, and Doomlike Dungeons, as well as additional dimensions such as VoidCraft, AbyssalCraft, and Elemental Dimensions. The pack also adds new environments and terrain features through Biomes O' Plenty, SugiForest, Cavern, and Streams. Combat and creature encounters are varied by additions including Infernal Mobs, ToroQuest, Reptile Mod, and Much More Spiders, while Better Combat Mod provides an extra combat-focused component. Magic and resource gathering options include Roots, Blood Magic, Botania, Mystical Agriculture, and Ore Excavation.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.11.2 · Forge, 7 Apr 2017). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
7 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 1 Apr 2017 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 108 of its 109 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod sends something about you
We read the code of 107 of its 109 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (7 Apr 2017) in the 48 mods we checked.
7 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
61 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
