    About

    Music Maker lets players compose music in Minecraft, perform it on instruments, and share synchronized performances with friends, with multiplayer designed to keep rhythm reliable. Its scrolling music-sheet editor supports long compositions, overlapping notes of different lengths, multiple notes at the same beat, adjustable note and sheet volume, tempo controls, and pitch and volume shaping through glissando and crescendo or decrescendo. Players can write notes by mouse or keyboard, record performances, connect MIDI devices for input, and copy or paste music between sheets or into text files; MIDI files can also be converted into sheets using an external tool. The mod includes 13 craftable instruments and one treasure-found instrument, with examples such as the Redstone Guitar, Bass Guitar, Oboe, and French Horn, as well as piano and drum-kit blocks. Holding a music sheet while using an instrument plays its composition, while music boxes can play a sheet with a chosen instrument when triggered by redstone and emit a pulse when playback ends. Metronomes provide adjustable ticking and can synchronize nearby players who hold sheets with the matching tempo and an instrument, making coordinated group performances possible.
