NeoEssentials is a server-side essentials and administration mod that gives NeoForge servers a broad set of configurable tools, while allowing players to join with vanilla clients. Its player utilities include an economy with balances, payments, leaderboards, and shops; configurable kits with previews and cooldowns; and teleport options such as homes, warps, spawn, player requests, and random teleport. Administrators can manage bans, mutes, jails, freezes, vanish, warnings, notes, and player reports, with persistent records and audit history. Chat features include private messages, mail, ignore and social-spy tools, rich-text formatting, and configurable channels for local, group, or global messages; an AFK system can mark idle players and show their status in the tablist. Item and general utility commands cover repair, enchanting, inventory management, nicknames, and other common server tasks. A built-in web dashboard provides real-time server monitoring and configuration editing, alongside REST endpoints for information such as players, logs, events, and statistics. The mod also supports LuckPerms and FTB Ranks, integrates with PlaceholderAPI, and exposes APIs for server data and economy integrations. Admins configure its features through modular JSON files, and most saved data can use JSON, YAML, SQLite, or MySQL storage.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
Sends your player name, your player ID and unknown data, and runs code it downloads
Sent to api.dropboxapi.com, content.dropboxapi.com, graph.microsoft.com, login.microsoftonline.com, oauth2.googleapis.com, www.googleapis.com, sessionserver.mojang.com and an address built while the game runs.
Code downloaded from repo1.maven.org runs in the game. What that code sends is not known.
Only some of its files send your player name and your player ID.
We found this in its code, read without running it.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
