A feature-rich soundboard for Simple Voice Chat and Plasmo Voice.
57.9 of the 71 points that apply = 82 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
OpenSoundboard lets players play MP3 sounds through Simple Voice Chat or Plasmo Voice for other players, or locally without voice chat. Its soundboard lets you browse and search sounds, organize them in nested folders, mark favorites, and control playback with seeking, looping, custom start points, and per-sound keybinds. A configurable sound wheel provides a radial way to select sounds, with support for nested folders and an editor for assigning sounds to wheel slots. Per-sound local and player volume controls let you adjust what you hear separately from what other players hear, with options to synchronize those controls or set a global volume multiplier. The built-in downloader can accept links or search YouTube, then retrieve audio and extract it as MP3; downloads can continue in the background. The interface is available in Modern and Vanilla styles, with appearance and accessibility settings such as accent color, panel opacity, UI dimensions, and text size.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 key bindings: Open Soundboard and Sound Wheel.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
The author declares on Modrinth that this mod interacts with your system outside the game.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 2 web addresses while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code and text
The author declares AI code and text on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
Modpacks that include Open Soundboard in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 5 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 7 points.
