    About

    Simple Voice Chat adds proximity-based voice communication to Minecraft, letting players talk to nearby players in spatial 3D audio, with configurable voice distance and whispering for quieter conversations. Players can choose push-to-talk or voice activation, adjust microphone gain and individual player volume, and use automatic voice activity detection and RNNoise noise suppression. Password-protected group chats let players speak with one another regardless of proximity, and the in-game interface provides group controls, mute and disable options, and indicators for talking, whispering, and group members. The interface also includes microphone and speaker testing and lets players start or stop recordings with separate audio tracks, subject to server recording settings. The mod supports Fabric, NeoForge, Forge, Quilt, Bukkit, Spigot, and Paper, with proxy support for Velocity, BungeeCord, and Waterfall. It requires server-side setup, including a separate UDP voice-chat port by default, and offers server configuration for voice ranges, groups, recording permissions, and whether players without the mod can join.
