    About

    Outfox adds tameable fox companions that help players find specific blocks while mining. Befriend a shy fox with raw rabbit, then right-click it with a block to have it search nearby stone for that block; sniffling sounds signal when it has found a match, and you can follow its lead to the source. When it is not hunting, a fox can keep you company at your base, and you can make it sit or stay, change its ribbon color with dye, or heal and breed it with rabbit. Configuration options include search range and frequency, spawning biomes, tools that should not accidentally hit foxes, and optional block allowlists or denylists.
