Pathogen turns Minecraft’s wildlife into a spreading infection and survival threat, with contaminated creatures developing into aggressive intermediate forms and then into biome-adapted mutants. Its roster includes 90 unique mobs, among them runners, walkers, poisoners, enforcers, marauders, prowlers, raptors, and rare infectors that spread contamination and can terraform biomes. Mutants change according to their species and environment, with cave, mesa, swamp, jungle, aquatic, ender, crimson forest, and warped forest variants that differ in appearance, abilities, and combat traits. For example, cave mutants can blind and wither prey, swamp variants inflict poison and nausea, aquatic mutants drag targets underwater, and warped forest mutants can turn invisible and inflict levitation along with other effects. The infection also alters the world: corrupted underground hive systems with crystals and mutant activity spread in affected biomes, while corrupted surface biomes include the End and swamp. To fight back, players can craft biome-specific weapons such as katanas and slayers, use the battle hook as a sword, pickaxe, and axe, and equip armor sets with infection protection or biome-linked bonuses. A catalyst found in altar-like structures uses lightning to combine a chitin horn, phantom membrane, and netherite ingot into hardened chitin ingots for crafting mutant-fighting gear.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 57 blocks, 255 items, 94 entities, 2 biomes, 23 structures, 116 recipes, 88 loot tables, 8 sounds and 1 key binding.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
