Adds hostile mobs that looks like players, works with remote list like Twitch subs.
45.6 of the 64 points that apply = 71 out of 100. The points above are rounded to whole numbers.
Player Mobs adds hostile mobs that use player names and skins, with names supplied through the config or fetched from a remote page of newline-separated names, such as a Twitch subscriber list. On a server, a whitelist can determine which names are available, and a mob can be friendly to a player who shares its name; mobs can drop heads matching their skins, while players can also drop their own heads when killed if that option is enabled. Resource packs can add or override the mobs’ skins, capes, and elytra textures; an elytra is cosmetic and does not change how the mob behaves.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
Adds 1 item: Player Mob Spawn Egg; 1 mob: Player Mob; 3 sounds: Player Mob Ambient, Player Mob Death and Player Mob Hurt; 1 loot table.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
These projects do not work together with Player Mobs: their authors or Player Mobs' author say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Player Mobs, so you only need one.
