Start with bone tools and work your way toward stronger gear.

Primitive Start reshapes early-game survival by replacing the usual start of punching a tree with a search for animals, whose bones become the basis of your first tools. Break leaves for sticks, then use bones and sticks to craft bone tools, which are comparable to wooden tools; wooden-plank structures such as villages can provide an alternative way to obtain planks and make a crafting table. Bone arrows let you use leftover bones instead of flint for ammunition, and shears let you pluck feathers from chickens when you need more arrows. Stone tools are available, but they cannot mine iron, so copper becomes an important step: use it to craft a smithing table and reinforce bone tools into a tier between stone and iron, comparable to iron tools. The changed progression also makes axes necessary for breaking logs and has animals drop bones.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 1 block, 22 items and 31 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found in the parts we could check
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
One of its files for recent versions is not checked yet.
4 of its files for recent versions cannot be checked: its author does not let other sites download them from CurseForge.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends, in the 1 of its 6 files we read
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
