A challenging fantasy modpack inspired by Elden Ring.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 457 graded mods, 285 are graded A or B, 108 C and 64 D to F. Its last update came out 3.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Elden Block is an Elden Ring-inspired Minecraft modpack built around increased difficulty. Its early game changes the usual route to wood: players gather bones by killing mobs and sticks by breaking leaves, then craft bone tools to harvest wood. Passive mobs can fight back when attacked, making encounters with them more dangerous.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 8 Jul 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 8 Jul 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 460 of its 468 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of 445 of its 455 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 36 of the 366 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
89 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
