A quest-driven modpack with magic, technology, and tough challenges.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 755 graded mods, 559 are graded A or B, 173 C and 23 D to F. Its last update came out 8 days ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Age of Fate is a hard, expert-focused modpack built around guided progression, with more than 4,800 story-integrated quests arranged across 16 chapter groups and 72 chapters. Its quests lead players from early progression toward an endgame goal: crafting the Nexus of Fate by finding rare mystical stones through exploration and boss fights, combining them into the Stone of Transcendence, and completing the final crafting steps with crystals from endgame bosses. Exploration spans dimensions including the Twilight Forest, the Aether, the Undergarden, and Blue Skies’ Everbright and Everdawn, alongside varied biomes, dungeons, structures, maritime adventures, and secrets. Players face distinctive bosses across the dimensions, with custom loot and escalating difficulty; boss drops also contribute to endgame crafting. Magic options include Botania’s nature magic, Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks, Ars Nouveau’s spell crafting, Hexerei’s witchcraft, EvilCraft’s dark arts, and Psi’s programmable spell bullets, while skills and a broad range of weapons and tools support character development and combat. Technology and automation range from Mekanism, Thermal Series, and Immersive Engineering to Refined Storage and Applied Energistics 2, with machinery, processing, storage, and autocrafting supporting complex item production. The pack also includes player and NPC shops, a player-driven economy, quest rewards, and Lootr’s personalized loot for each player. Custom ambient music and environmental sounds complement its exploration-focused world, and the pack includes more than 5,000 custom recipes.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 19 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 8 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 756 of its 759 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of 751 of its 754 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 40 of the 623 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
131 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
