Adds delay to your connection to help balance PvP ping.

Ravenclaw's Ping Equalizer is a client-side PvP mod that adds real network latency to help normalize ping differences between players in competitive play. It delays incoming and outgoing packets before they are processed or sent, so the added latency affects server-side movement processing and hit registration rather than only changing a visual ping display. Players can add a fixed delay, target a total ping that the mod will try to maintain, check the current settings, or disable the equalizer to return to native connection speed. Servers can query or control the equalizer, and changes to its enabled status are announced in public chat for transparency. The mod also provides integrity validation so others can check whether a player is running a verified instance. Artificial latency may violate some server rules, so players should check before using it; the mod is explicitly permitted on MCTiers for ping equalization during high-tier testing, not to gain an unfair advantage.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area, as a library other mods build on: Networking and multiplayerChanges 2 game code files in this area: connections, the server list and what is sent between your game and a server..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found in the parts we could check
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
One of its files for recent versions cannot be checked: its author does not let other sites download it from CurseForge.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends, in the 3 of its 4 files we read
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
The author declares AI code on Modrinth.
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 1 release needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This counts in the grade, but it is too few to lose points.
