About
Recipe Modification is a tool for modpack and datapack creators, developers, and other tinkerers to change recipes rather than a content mod with standalone gameplay features. It applies JSON-defined datapack modifiers or changes made through its Java API to matching recipes at game startup, including recipes added by other mods. Modifiers can change recipe results, such as making button recipes yield eight buttons, or add ingredient alternatives to improve compatibility, such as accepting the shared copper-nugget tag in place of a mod-specific ingredient. The library can also enable substitutions across modded recipes, as in using Vegan Delight’s leather substitute wherever leather is required.
