Re-imagining lost features and concepts from Minecraft's distant past.

Rediscovered reimagines scrapped Minecraft features and concepts, mainly from the game’s pre-release history, adapting them to fit the modern game. Its central addition is the Skylands, a dimension with beta-style terrain, wooded, cold and rainforest biomes, large cherry trees, and the chance to find the Far Lands. To reach the Skylands, craft a Ruby Eye to locate a Trail Ruin containing a damaged brick portal, then rebuild and activate it with the eye. Rubies found in the Overworld and Skylands serve as currency for Skyland Pigmen, whose five professions offer distinct trades, including armor, colored wool and a research-developed potion. You can also rescue zombified Pigmen to recruit them as armed guards, while Nether-dwelling Zombie Pigmen can be cured with Golden Carrots and become either merchants or guards depending on the weapon they are given. A brick pyramid on a floating island houses the power that shields and calms a Red Dragon; shutting it down exposes the pylon and provokes the dragon. After defeating the dragon, you can fertilize its egg with Dragon Breath, wait several days for it to hatch, then raise, saddle and ride the grown dragon, including between the Overworld and Skylands. The dragon can wear customizable armor, and a Ruby Flute can call it back when it is nearby, though extended flight can exhaust it. The mod also restores the Nether Reactor: its aura makes nearby mobs react as if they were in the Nether, lets Piglins and Hoglins roam safely, can zombify Pigmen unless they receive Golden Aura, and increases damage; a Netherite-built reactor strengthens these effects. Other additions include Giants with a ground-slam shockwave attack and Giant’s Eye drops used to brew potions that enlarge or shrink the player. Rediscovered also adds display tables for arranging items as decoration, with item presentation configurable through resource packs, and chairs for sitting. Classic fish appear in the waters of both the Overworld and Skylands, while Obsidian Walls can occasionally be found across the Skylands.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
