Find the lost eyes and restore an ancient prism.

A Distant Journey is an adventure-focused sandbox modpack built around a campaign to gather the Architect’s Eyes and restore the Prism, with room for exploration, building, farming, combat, and roleplay. Progress is organized into dimension-focused chapters that unlock new areas, items, and creatures; achievements offer guidance while leaving players some choice in how to pursue each chapter’s activities. The Eyes tie the campaign to different kinds of play: some come from bosses such as the Wither, Aerwhale King, and Ender Guardian, while others require crafting through Botania, Twilight Forest rituals, Create, or challenging Farmer’s Delight recipes. Its large mod selection includes Create, Botania, Farmer’s Delight, The Aether, The Twilight Forest, Ars Nouveau, EvilCraft, and Rediscovered, with the campaign encouraging players to engage with the pack’s core mods. Extensive recipe changes and integrations make the collection play more like a connected whole: Botania and Ars Nouveau share a Mana system, EvilCraft materials enter their recipes, and Create machine-component recipes have been reworked. The Twilight Forest has redesigned biome generation and some revised structures, and its Final Castle serves a role in progression. Equipment and combat are reworked with armor set bonuses, weapon hit effects, progression-scaled gear, and substantially higher health and damage values than vanilla Minecraft. As campaign milestones raise the world’s threat level, mobs grow stronger and can gain new loot, while new ores may appear underground or in other dimensions. The pack also refreshes world generation across six dimensions and adds ambient touches such as visible sunrises and sunsets without shaders. Casual play is joined by a free-building Journey mode and a more difficult Hardcore mode, and the pack supports multiplayer.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 10 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 2 Jul 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 552 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
17 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 516 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 32 of the 464 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
52 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
