Explore dangerous dungeons, complete quests, and build your character.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 141 graded mods, 74 are graded A or B, 23 C and 44 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.14.4. See the mods
Treasures of Altera is an RPG-focused exploration and kingdom-building modpack, centered on quests, survival, character development, and gear progression. Explore new biomes and terrain, aquatic areas, the Nether and End, hidden lands, timed maps, and underground dungeons where enchanted gear and treasure are guarded by dangerous foes. Develop your character through four classes, abilities, attributes, skills, talent trees, traits, and stats, shaping a distinct play style as you level. Weapons, armor, accessories, and materials have RPG-style rarities and stats, while powerful monsters gain levels with distance from spawn and may carry special traits that make them tougher and more rewarding to defeat. Begin in a friendly village, establish a supply camp, and grow a kingdom with builders, guards, lumberjacks, and other workers; manage their roles and keep citizens fed and happy. Your settlement can face raids and invasions by barbarians and pirates, while diplomacy, alliances, and battles with other kingdoms offer different ways to expand or defend your lands. The world also features new creatures and friendly NPCs, with some defeated mobs available as companions, trade with end-dwelling characters, and horses that can be trained and upgraded. Survival has a deliberate early-game hurdle: start with flint tools made using gravel or pebbles, and manage needs such as sleep, filth, and excretion; food restores health rather than hunger.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.14.4 · Forge, 7 Mar 2020). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 22 Feb 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 146 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (7 Mar 2020) in the 100 mods we checked.
8 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
45 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
