Runic adds 11 protective and utility Runes for early- and mid-game play, used like a Totem of Undying to provide special abilities when their conditions are met or when activated manually. Players make Blank Runes and infuse them at the Runic Altar, using a Rune Inscriber and an additional ingredient that determines the Rune’s ability. The Runes cover hazards and status effects: Void, Water and Fire Runes help with falling into the End’s void, drowning and fire; Purification, Antivenom, Blooming and Clarity remove curses, poison, wither and blindness, with several also granting protective effects. Other abilities include the Mining Rune’s haste and night vision underground, the Recall Rune’s return to Overworld spawn from another dimension, the Saturation Rune’s food restoration, and the Eternity Rune’s ability to duplicate items held in the offhand, except shulker boxes. Runic also adds Smooth Stone variants made with a Stonecutter, and configurable options for Saturation Rune drops and whether the Recall and Eternity Runes can be crafted.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5 to 1.18.2.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 8 blocks, 15 items, 12 recipes, 14 advancements and 1 sound.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5 to 1.18.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5 to 1.18.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
