New clouds and localized weather bring changing skies to your world.

Simple Clouds overhauls Minecraft’s sky with a stylized, atmospheric cloud system inspired by real-world formations, aiming to enrich the vanilla experience rather than simulate weather realistically. It adds seven cloud types and renders them across distances of more than 20,000 blocks using levels of detail; examples shown include cumulus, stratus, stratocumulus, nimbostratus, and cumulonimbus clouds. Cloud cover shapes localized weather: rain and snow fall beneath clouds configured for precipitation, while storms can bring ominous low-level fog, custom lightning, and thunder that sounds after a delay. When installed on a server, the mod synchronizes cloud positions and weather effects among players and saves a distinct cloud seed for each world; client-only use instead relies on vanilla global weather and can randomize cloud positions between logins unless a custom seed is set. A built-in editor lets players preview and modify existing cloud types or create new ones by adjusting layered noise, appearance, and weather settings, then export them for datapacks or resource packs. Custom cloud types can be added through data packs for server synchronization or resource packs for client-side use, while separate JSON settings control how cloud regions form, grow, move, and overlap in the world.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

These projects do not work together with Simple Clouds: their authors or Simple Clouds' author say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Simple Clouds, so you only need one.
