Voice Physics is an addon for Simple Voice Chat that makes proximity chat respond to distance, walls, corners and the surrounding environment. Players can choose Vanilla, Realistic, Clear or Stealth distance presets, or adjust how voices fade so they grow quieter at range instead of cutting off abruptly. Walls make voices quieter and duller, with materials such as wool and metal blocking more sound than glass and leaves; open doors let more sound through, and voices can travel around corners through doorways or windows. Echo varies with the surroundings, from brief reverberation in stone rooms to longer echoes in caves and halls, while forests and fields have none; water dulls voices, and rain and thunder mask distant speech. An optional HUD shows who is speaking, their distance and direction, and whether walls or corners affect their voice; a monitor and radar can show players within voice range, with high-contrast and colorblind-friendly display options. Players can share their sound settings through a profile code, and server settings can offer or enforce a common sound profile for events or fair PvP. When installed on a server, Voice Physics can muffle walls for players without the addon and create sound zones that change voice range, isolate an area, set wall strength or echo, and display an entry message. Server rules can make sneaking quieter, silence dead players, limit spectator chat to other spectators, or let a held item such as a goat horn carry a voice farther like a megaphone.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
Claude Code is named in the files of its repository.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
