Soviet Era 2 is a building and exploration mod inspired by late Soviet architecture and urban exploration, designed for creating post-Soviet cities, abandoned industrial sites, or entire ghost towns. It adds decorative and functional blocks for buildings and interiors, including panel-construction pieces, rusty steel pylons, furniture, laboratory equipment, doors, windows, and lamps. Many blocks have specialized behavior: redstone can power turnstiles and adjustable-brightness lamps, doors include lockable and airlock designs, and sensors, barbed wire, and live wires can form perimeter defenses. Modular constructions include panel walls and scientific equipment such as particle accelerators, fume hoods, and electron microscopes; a configurable rusty frame can also combine different block textures across its six sides. The exploration component includes abandoned sites, notably a vast procedurally generated underground science complex with long corridors and randomly generated rooms, as well as radio facilities and bomb shelters. Players can salvage resources from structures and their contents, breaking down materials and electronics for reusable scraps, metals, and components that can be processed with machines such as a shredder and refining plant. Exploration also involves environmental hazards: poisoned laboratory air and damaging swamp water make protective equipment such as a gas mask and protective suit useful.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2 to 1.16.5.
Adds 1 block, 71 items, 90 recipes, 5 advancements and 21 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2 to 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
