Spell Codex is a progression addon for Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks that makes discovering spells, earning their ranks, and equipping them part of one Codex-and-action-bar workflow. Players add spells by learning Codex pages, absorbing leftover scrolls, or extracting spells from filled spellbooks; pages can come from adventure loot or be made and imprinted at an Arcane Anvil and Scroll Forge. The Codex organizes discovered spells into school tabs and a grid, with discovery progress bars, rarity-ink slots for tier upgrades, and an inspector showing details such as a spell’s school, mana cost, and cooldown. Each tier beyond the initial unlock costs XP and matching-rarity ink, while holding a focus for the spell’s school reduces the XP cost; respec refunds a configurable portion of spent XP. Unlocked spells are equipped on Spell Actionbar, and casting is restricted to that bar rather than Iron’s spell wheel, inventory scrolls, books, or imbued weapons. Empty spellbooks can be equipped in Curios to add action-bar slots, while the HUD stays hidden until a spell is equipped and its action bar, mana display, and cast bar can be repositioned and scaled separately. Pack authors can configure spell and school access, unlock costs, respec refunds, and creative-only spells, and administrators have commands for managing schools, discoveries, and Codex pages.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 items: Empty Codex Page and Codex Page; 1 key binding: Cast Imbued Spell.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
