    About

    Relics adds a collection of useful items with distinctive abilities for combat, exploration, and everyday activities such as farming and mining. Relics are found in fitting loot locations: for example, some appear in desert pyramids or abandoned mineshafts, while others can be found in a farmer’s or hunter’s village home. Each relic has randomized stats and can be leveled, improved, and customized, so players can pursue different builds and combine relics with one another or with other mods. A progressive active-ability system adds further development and rewards players for managing abilities in combat. The relics offer varied effects: the Leafy Mantle parts foliage and gradually heals its wearer, the Springy Boot turns falls into repeated bounces, and the Kinetic Belt slows descent and preserves momentum. Other abilities respond to circumstances: the Midnight Mantle changes with the lunar phase and hides its wearer in darkness, while the Jellyfish Necklace steadies and heals its wearer in water or rain and can release electric stings. Relics also affect travel and encounters in unusual ways: the Chorus Staff teleports its wielder forward, the Piglin Mask improves piglin trades and can turn piglins protective, and the Hunting Belt strengthens nearby tamed beasts. A main configuration file allows extensive adjustment of relic properties and loot-generation chances, and the mod is designed to adapt its balance to different modpacks, including those with very high health and damage values.
