About
Tetra Niche Materials supplements Tetra with additional weapon options, armor materials, and compatibility for materials from other mods. Its added weapons include javelins, glaives, long spears, khopeshes, scimitars, and windlass-drawn, full-bow, and short-limb crossbows. It expands Tetra’s tool and weapon crafting options with long handles for two-headed tools and honing for tool damage and crossbow improvements, while adjusting the qualities of vanilla and Forge metals to better reflect their material properties. New alloys include Rose Gold, Bronnum, Blurine, White Gold, Culuminum, and Marel; they offer options ranging from Piglin-compatible gold armor to durable materials comparable in strength to Netherite. Alloy dust can be made by pounding ores or ingots at a Tetra workbench, mixing the resulting dusts at a crafting table, and smelting the alloy dust in a blast furnace. The mod adds Tetra material support for content from Alex’s Mobs, Biomes O’ Plenty, Deeper And Darker, Endless Biomes, Mutant Monsters, Mystic’s Biomes, Regions Unexplored, RPG Style More Weapons, The Aether, The Graveyard, The Undergarden, and Twilight Forest. Some supported materials have distinctive properties: The Graveyard’s Dark Iron deals bonus damage to living targets, while the Undergarden alloy Auggrum is Netherite-tier and its armor is treated as gold by Piglins. The mod also adds Dooferfish Scales and Darkbottom Bones as drops from Elder Guardians and Wardens, respectively; scale armor increases swimming speed and grants water breathing after the wearer takes damage, while bone armor makes attacking mobs glow.
