A large modpack with GregTechCEu Modern and Create.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 232 graded mods, 191 are graded A or B, 35 C and 6 D to F. Its last update came out 6 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Create: New Horizon is a large technology-focused modpack that combines Create and GregTech with magic, exploration, and farming, using custom mods and recipe changes to integrate and rebalance its contents. Its progression centers on GregTech, whose voltage tiers have been expanded through the current UHV stage, while Create and its addons bring a gear-driven style of technology and replace the usual Steam Age. Custom machines include more than 100 multiblock structures, many with distinctive recipe mechanics; some Create-GregTech machines use stress, and certain formed multiblocks become device entities that can rotate or translate. The pack reworks Applied Energistics 2 with advanced pattern-provider blocking and automatic recipe doubling, and adds the Jiuzhang Quantum Supercomputer, a multiblock for handling crafting jobs. Biomancy 2 is integrated with GregTech and Hostile Neural Networks through custom biopunk machines and production lines, while Botania and Blood Magic offer reworked resource systems, multiblocks, and rituals to support technological progression. Magic is a supporting branch that can accelerate the GregTech progression but does not block it; the sources describe magic as optional except for crafting the final endgame item. Exploration spans The Twilight Forest, The Aether, and Ad Astra, and helps supply ores and creatures for progression without requiring a particular boss defeat or specific drop to advance the technology path. The pack substantially rebuilds core-mod recipes, adding more than 10,000, removing more than 2,000, and modifying more than 4,000, and includes over 800 quests with guidance from the early survival stages through UHV graduation. Players can also discover custom Easter-egg structures hidden in the world.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 29 Apr 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 23 Apr 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 233 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 233 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 194 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
9 other mods show AI use only from after this release (29 Apr 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
39 mods are not checked yet.
1 mod can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
