Aether Ascendancy: Twilight Horizons is an adventure and dungeon-focused modpack built around exploring dimensions, taking on bosses, and expanding what players can do beyond standard Minecraft progression. Its central destinations are The Aether and The Twilight Forest, where players can face Valkyries and Hydras, and the pack also points adventurers toward dimensions including Everdawn, Everbright, the Undergarden, the Otherside, Blue Skies, and Deeper and Darker. The Overworld, Nether, and End also offer revamped exploration, with sprawling villages, mythic dungeons, bosses, new creatures, and additional biomes and dungeons to discover. Tetra lets players build highly customized weapons and tools from components drawn from major mods in the pack, while Ars Nouveau and Blood Magic add spellcraft, rituals, and some automation. Create supplies machines and contraptions for automation, and Farmer’s Delight and its expansions add a broad range of food and cooking content. Other practical additions include backpacks, expanded storage, Waystones, hammers, boats, corpse recovery, decorations, paintings, and gliders. Complementary Shaders are included to change the look of the world across its dimensions. For multiplayer, players can form teams and tackle quests together, while Lootr gives each player separate randomized loot from shared chests.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 3 Oct 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 12 Feb 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 184 of its 187 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 181 of its 184 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 13 of the 155 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
29 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
