About
TFCGyres-OreHints makes TerraFirmaCraft mineral veins easier to find by placing surface hint rocks above underground deposits, and adjusts vein generation to make minerals more accessible. The hint-rock pairings are basalt for bituminous coal and lignite, marble for kaolinite, claystone for graphite, gneiss for cinnabar, slate for cryolite, diorite for saltpeter, shale for sulfur, dolomite for sylvite, chert for borax, andesite for lapis lazuli, quartzite for gypsum, phyllite for halite, and chalk for diamond. Vein changes include larger, more horizontal coal seams with fewer inclusions, as well as increased size and frequency for many other mineral veins; spawn rates are increased for all minerals except gypsum and halite. The mod also adds mountainous rich iron veins at high elevations, where deep iron veins are absent.
