About
Thaumic Horizons is a Thaumcraft 4 addon that expands familiar thaumaturgical mechanics with new ways to use essentia, aura, and infusions. Arcane lenses add options to Goggles of Revealing, including night vision, seeing through blocks or walls, and automatically scanning targeted blocks; other tools let you shrink creatures into warded jars, create temporary block-based golems, illuminate areas with vis, or liquefy blocks and items. Its alchemy and biological systems can accelerate crop growth, duplicate meat, turn zombie remains into leather, and mix essentia with blood to make injectable or throwable effects, including delivery by a thaumium crossbow. A curative vat heals creatures and, with further research, supports cloning and creature infusion, which can turn livestock into beings such as Ore Boars and Guardian Panthers or augment creatures with traits including Quicksilver Limbs and Runic Hide. Soul-related devices extract fragments for experience or knowledge, and the Soulforge can reconstruct human souls and clone villagers; a soul beacon paired with a curative vat also enables reincarnation in a clone body after death. Additional tools and resources include alchemite explosives that crystallize essentia, a node monitor that signals low aspect levels, shard transmutation, ethereal shards that function as synthetic aura nodes, and a vis dynamo for portable vis-network power. Self-infusion lets players design a body with abilities such as a Silverwood Heart or Spider Climb, while creature infusion and animation can also produce altered beings and golems.
