    About

    The Gems Project expands Minecraft’s progression with new resources, equipment, and collectible finds, with additions intended to fit into different stages of play. Topaz, Sapphire, and Ruby ores generate below Y-level 16 in stone and deepslate, become more common at greater depths, and yield shards that must be combined into gems; many of their uses open up once you have Netherite equipment. The mod adds progression tiers for bows, crossbows, shields, and horse armor, with equipment gaining damage and durability across tiers. Gem-crafted jewelry can be equipped separately from armor through Curios slots and grants passive buffs associated with its gem. Dragonyx is a rare endgame material: its weapons heal you when they damage enemies, its tools increase the number of blocks you can harvest at once, and its armor raises maximum health; a full set also protects you from dying to the void. Emerald tools grant bonus XP while keeping other stats at iron level, and emerald armor increases movement speed per piece and grants Hero of the Village when worn as a full set. Experience Ore adds an experience-bearing ore to encourage cave exploration, while 20 collectible fossils found across vanilla dimensions serve as decoration and an alternative source of bones.
