Build a colony and advance from simple tools to powerful machines.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 302 graded mods, 229 are graded A or B, 65 C and 8 D to F. Its last update came out 10 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Industrial Village is a technology-focused colony-management modpack that guides players from gathering flint for a first pickaxe to building complex factories and self-sufficient settlements. MineColonies lets you plan buildings, roads, and decorations for citizens to construct, while directing them to gather resources, build, and upgrade structures; backpacks and storage options such as drawers, racks, chests, barrels, and later digital storage support the work of a growing colony. Its industrial progression centers on Immersive Engineering, with waterwheels, windmills, bucket-wheel excavators, hanging powerlines, diesel generators, drills, and conveyor belts, alongside compressed-air machinery from PneumaticCraft. Further technology includes rockets and other planets to explore, automated mob farming in controlled environments, and a modular forcefield system for base defense. The pack also offers modular tools and weapons, a cooking system, and building materials and decor such as furniture, lights, windows, roofs, paintings, Chipped blocks, and frames or illusion blocks that take on the texture of contained blocks. Quest-based progression provides rewards and explanations of mechanics, while exploration leads through overhauled terrain, enhanced dungeons and structures, and hidden discoveries.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 16 Dec 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 3 Nov 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 305 of its 306 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 289 of its 290 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 1 of the 239 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in it, or its author declares AI content.
10 other mods show AI use only from after this release (16 Dec 2025), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
51 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
