Traveler’s Dream is a realistic random-world generation preset for Open Terrain Generator, designed to create varied landscapes that draw on Earth’s climates while retaining a Minecraft-like feel. Its 16 climate zones range from ice, snowy and boreal regions through temperate, lush and Mediterranean-style landscapes to arid deserts, jungles, tropical islands and a deep ocean zone with survival islands. Across those zones, it contains more than 230 significant biomes and 747 biomes in total, with individual landscapes built from features such as biome borders, beaches, glades, lakes, cliffs, mountains and fields. The terrain varies between plains, forests, hills and high, snow-capped mountains, with rivers, lakes, swamps and climate-specific vegetation; complex custom trees and other objects such as rocks add detail to the environments. Some regions also alter ore distribution: mountains can yield more iron at higher elevations, arid areas are rich in gold, boreal and arid zones in diamonds, and cold volcanic areas in redstone. The compact edition preserves nearly all biomes while freeing about 40 biome IDs, leaving roughly 80 available for other mods, and keeps important biome-dictionary tags for compatibility. A separate Thaumic Traveler’s Dream edition adds Thaumcraft features and a Magical Forest biome styled to fit the preset.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
