Open Terrain Generator is a configurable world-generation engine for Forge and Spigot that lets players create or use presets to shape Minecraft worlds, without requiring Java knowledge to make a preset. Its settings cover terrain height and noise, biome types and placement, climate, rivers, oceans, caves and canyons, as well as the blocks, ores, plants and other resources placed during generation. Presets can add custom objects and large structures, including trees, rocks, dungeons and villages, with rules for where they appear; they can also configure mob spawning, custom mobs and loot, and options for vanilla structures such as mineshafts and strongholds. World creators can customize foliage, water and sky colors, generate biome maps from images, and create additional dimensions, including alongside a vanilla overworld. The in-game world-creation interface lets users select a preset, adjust world settings and add, edit or remove dimensions; the engine also supports configuration files for sharing and reusing biome settings. OTG is an engine rather than a complete content pack: it includes a default preset close to vanilla generation, while named options such as Skylands, Vanilla Vistas, Flatlands, Void and Biome Bundle provide different ready-made worlds.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.10.2 to 1.16.5.
Adds 20 blocks.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.10.2 to 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.10.2 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
