About
Trolldom adds four elemental shrines to the world, where completing a distinct task earns a boon that lasts until the player dies. Fire shrines are Nether spires, and lighting braziers at their center grants a boon that temporarily boosts attack and mining speed when nearby entities take fire damage; earth shrines lie between the Overworld’s stone and deepslate layers, where meditating grants a replenishing absorption shield. Water shrines in deep oceans challenge players to swim through five gates quickly, granting a boon that shifts attack damage and mining speed in opposite directions as they attack or mine. Air shrines appear in several open or elevated biomes, including mountains, badlands, hills, savannas and plains; riding their wind drafts earns a movement-speed boon that also lets players launch themselves in a cardinal direction.
