A modpack with a mixture of technology, magic, exploration and adventure.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 303 graded mods, 222 are graded A or B, 56 C and 25 D to F. Its last update came out 2.7 years ago, for Minecraft 1.19.2. See the mods
Valhelsia 5 is a broad modpack combining technology, magic, exploration, building, and adventure, with content for different play styles. Builders can use expanded decorative blocks in varied materials and colour palettes, along with furnishings from Supplementaries and Valhelsia Furniture. Exploration spans new surface and underground biomes, including additions from Biomes O' Plenty, Atmospheric, Autumnity, Environmental, Darker Depths, and Galosphere, as well as the dimensions of Deeper and Darker, The Twilight Forest, and Blue Skies. The world offers structures, caves, and underground dungeons to discover, with dangerous mobs and bosses from Alex's Mobs, Aquamirae, and the added dimensions, plus the chance to find rare artifacts. For engineering projects, Mekanism, Create, Little Logistics, Immersive Engineering, and PneumaticCraft: Repressurized support automation, machinery, factories, and mining machines. Magic-focused play includes crafting spells and magical artifacts and performing rituals through Ars Nouveau, Malum, Forbidden and Arcanus, and Botania. Farmer's Delight adds dishes to prepare for adventures and battles. The included Complementary Reimagined shaders, a modified compatibility-focused version, and Complementary Version 4 offer enhanced lighting, shadows, and colour; Xali's resource packs add block transitions and improved leaves while retaining a vanilla-inspired look.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.2 · Forge, 17 Feb 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 26 Oct 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 307 of its 308 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 301 of its 302 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 23 of the 253 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
49 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
