Various Oddities expands Minecraft’s wildlife with colourful fantasy creatures, adding both atmospheric animals and dangerous encounters for survival worlds and adventure maps. Its roster ranges from monkeys, ravens, crabs and rats to kobolds, goblins, trolls, ogres, giants, mimics, floating skulls, Nether golems and dinosaurs such as velociraptors and megaraptors. Mobs can have distinctive behaviors and threats: chest-like mimics ambush adventurers, megaraptors hunt and leap at prey, and trolls regenerate from most damage over time. Many creatures bring worthwhile loot, while a challenge-rating system gives players a shorthand for comparing their threat against an iron-equipped baseline. To help players face stronger oddities, the mod adds early-game alchemy for brewing low-grade potions and utility items before reaching the Nether, alongside a magic system based on learning spell-specific ink combinations and inscribing spells onto paper. Players can also use magical equipment such as speed-granting boots, rings for climbing or swimming, and a Hunter’s Eye that can temporarily petrify the creature it targets. The Adventurer’s Journal records discovered information about creatures and creature types, and creature types can also affect gameplay when enabled. Configuration options let players tailor creature spawning and other details, including creature types and which spells are available, for personal play or custom adventure-map and multiplayer experiences. Visual customization includes multiple kobold skins and model options, while odd eggs preview their contained creature and provide details about its abilities and possible customization.

No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2 to 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
