YDM's WeirdMobs expands Minecraft with 31 new mobs and 56 variations, adding unusual encounters with distinctive attacks as well as creatures that can be tamed or ridden. The creatures inhabit a range of settings, including Blaze Wolves and Vex Piglins in the Nether, Ender Creepers and teleporting Ender Blazes in the End, and Phantom Foxes in taiga and icy biomes. Other examples include poison-spitting Spider Llamas, wither-inflicting Wither Spiders, explosive Blaze Creepers, and the Creeper Spider Broodmother boss; some mobs can also fight alongside players, such as the tameable Phantom Fox and Blaze Wolf or the rideable Giant Axolotl. The mod also adds gear and crafting materials, including a faster, longer-range Ender Bow, a Spirit Knife that skins Phantom Foxes and Blaze Wolves on hit, and armor sets with effects such as cold resistance, fire resistance, or halved incoming damage. Mob spawn locations and rates can be configured, including compatibility with other mods' biomes; spawn changes apply to newly generated worlds.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5 to 1.19.3.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 31 mobs, 3 projectiles, 1 other entity, 16 recipes, 21 loot tables and 14 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5 to 1.19.3.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.5 to 1.19.3.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
