A vanilla-style pack that adds variety while keeping sandbox gameplay familiar.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 71 graded mods, 21 are graded A or B, 11 C and 39 D to F. Its last update came out 7.2 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Crucial is a vanilla-styled modpack that adds curated enhancements while keeping Minecraft’s sandbox gameplay and familiar character at its core. It revises world generation above and below ground, including in the Nether and End, and adjusts some recipes to make more content viable. The pack also tunes its mods for a cohesive experience, with changes intended to make them work well alongside vanilla gameplay. In-game documentation is introduced as you play, and notes on many items explain how to craft them without relying on wikis or providing extensive hand-holding. New advancements point players toward added content and provide extra challenges.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 2 Aug 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
3 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 26 Jul 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 76 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 76 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 39 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
37 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
