Modern vanilla Minecraft with ProjectE, plain and simple.

EMC Essentials is a lightweight modpack for playing a mostly vanilla-style Minecraft experience centered on ProjectE’s alchemy and EMC-based item transmutation. Items have EMC values that can be stored and spent through devices such as the Energy Condenser, which converts EMC-bearing items into a selected output, and the Transmutation Table, which lets players learn items and recreate them from their personal EMC balance. ProjectE’s alchemical tools include the Philosopher’s Stone for limited transmutation and a portable crafting table, plus portable Transmutation Tablets and the Arcane Tablet, which adds a 3×3 crafting grid and JEI-assisted item retrieval. For automated production, tiered Energy Collectors generate EMC from light, Antimatter Relays transfer EMC and add a bonus, and EMC Links feed it directly into a player’s balance; compact Power Flowers package this collector-relay-link setup into single-block units. The pack also supports extreme production scaling with Watches of Flowing Time that accelerate nearby processes, Dark Matter Pedestals that let watches accelerate an EMC farm without the player nearby, and Miniature Suns that multiply output. Beyond its ProjectE additions, the pack keeps extras modest, focusing on performance improvements, client-side tools, and quality-of-life features.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 18 Sep 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 18 Sep 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 25 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of all 25 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 19 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
6 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
