A modpack that helps your game run faster with fewer freezes.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 19 graded mods, 16 are graded A or B, 3 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 5 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.4. See the mods
Extreme Optimization! is a performance-focused modpack intended to improve Minecraft’s frame rate, reduce freezes and lower memory and CPU use, with a vetted selection of mods rather than added gameplay content. Its client and single-player collection targets rendering performance, chunk-loading speed, game-setting controls and other logic, while a separate server version focuses on chunk loading, memory and CPU usage, and related optimizations. The pack also offers optional collections for quality-of-life and vanilla-style visual features, including ambient fireflies and glowworms, damage-reactive camera tilt, dynamic lights, animated and connected textures, custom entity models, and custom item textures. Multiplayer additions include connections to older server versions, support for multiple server versions, and RakNet-based improvements for unreliable or rate-limited connections. The base pack is designed to concentrate on performance, and the author also presents it as a starting point for building a customized modpack.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 9 Jun 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 10 Mar 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 19 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod sends something about you
We read the code of all 19 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 19 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
