A collection of VR-friendly mods for smoother play.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 18 graded mods, 8 are graded A or B, 6 C and 4 D to F. Its last update came out 8 years ago, for Minecraft 1.10.2. See the mods
Mash’s VR Modpack is designed to pair VR-compatible mods with performance-conscious gameplay, aiming to reduce the lag that can cause discomfort while playing in virtual reality. VR is optional, and the pack includes a custom control profile with free locomotion by default; players can switch to teleport movement or adjust character speed if they prefer a less intense experience. Its content includes Harvest Festival, IndustrialCraft, Thermal Expansion, RFTools, Applied Energistics 2, and Dungeons. Players can join friends on a server even when those friends are not using the pack or VR; the server must allow teleportation if teleport controls are used, while free locomotion is the pack’s default.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.10.2 · Forge, 1 Nov 2018). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 21 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
1 mod sends something about you
We read the code of all 21 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 17 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
4 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
