Applied Energistics 2 is a technology-focused Minecraft mod for organizing storage and automating resource handling through networks that convert matter into digital energy for fast storage and transport. Its ME networks connect storage cells, drives, terminals and processing devices, letting players keep large inventories in compact spaces and access them from multiple locations. Network channels limit how many devices a cable can support, while P2P tunnels carry signals, items and fluids across shared cables, making network layout part of the system’s planning. Players can use import and export buses to move items into and out of machines, and configure patterns so crafting CPUs produce requested items automatically, including complex recipes. Spatial storage cells can capture a region of the world, including its blocks, items and entities, for later release. Progression begins with resources such as Certus Quartz and Nether Quartz, which can be ground into dust and used to grow crystals; Fluix and Inscriber circuits lead toward the more advanced network technology. Meteorites provide a further exploration step: their Sky Stone Chests can contain Inscriber Presses, and a Meteorite Compass helps locate the meteorite’s chunk. The mod also adds practical tools and decorative building materials, including a Quartz Grindstone, Wireless Terminal, cable facades, Sky Stone blocks, Certus Quartz pillars and Quartz Glass.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI was used for its code
Claude Code is named in 1 of its 5,103 commits and the files of its repository.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

These projects do not work together with Applied Energistics 2: their authors or Applied Energistics 2's author say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Applied Energistics 2, so you only need one.
