A pyramid challenge where you build from nothing using mods.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 151 graded mods, 50 are graded A or B, 25 C and 76 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
This author published several projects at once on Modrinth: up to 9 projects published within 2 weeks. 5 of the author's 16 projects have only one release and no source code link. A series of small add-ons is often published this way. It does not change the grade.
Pyramid Challenge Reborn recreates the modpack behind the FTB pyramid challenge, a self-directed survival experience intended to test players’ knowledge of Minecraft mods as they build from nothing and work to feed the beast. Its central focus is ProjectE and the transmutation table, with EMC knowledge and values shared across an FTB team. The pack brings together classic BuildCraft and IndustrialCraft 2, pneumatic tubes, and Forestry, alongside Project Red’s exploration, lighting, expansion, and integration features. It has no quest book, leaving players to explore the modded systems and pursue the challenge without guided quest progression.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 3 Feb 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 16 Sep 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 155 of its 156 mods and the files in the pack itself.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 156 of its mods.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (3 Feb 2025) in the 72 mods we checked.
5 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
84 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
