General Minecraft improvements without game-altering features.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 20 graded mods, 10 are graded A or B, 3 C and 7 D to F. Its last update came out 7 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Simply Better is a modpack that enhances Minecraft’s environments and atmosphere while aiming to preserve the familiar feel of the game rather than overhaul its gameplay. Its additions include expanded biomes with Biomes O’ Plenty, a more varied Nether with BetterNether, Dynamic Trees and foliage effects, seasonal changes from Serene Seasons, and altered cave generation through Worley’s Caves. Other content includes Mowzie’s Mobs, TekTopia, Streams, improved animal models, and ambient and environmental effects from Dynamic Surroundings, Sound Filters, and Fancy Block Particles.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 15 Oct 2019). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 21 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 12 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
9 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
