Server performance mods, packaged for Fabric.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 16 graded mods, 16 are graded A or B, 0 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 13 days ago, for Minecraft 26.3. See the mods
Smooth Server is a server-side performance modpack for Fabric that brings together optimizations for tick processing, memory use, redstone, terrain generation, and networking; players do not need the pack on their clients. Its core performance mix includes Lithium and ServerCore for server ticks, FerriteCore and ModernFix-mVUS for memory and other optimizations, Fast Noise and Structure Layout Optimizer for terrain and structure generation, Alternate Current for redstone, and Krypton for networking. Chunky provides optional chunk pregeneration, while spark can be used to profile server performance and diagnose issues. The pack adds no new content or progression systems, but some included mods alter technical behavior: Alternate Current changes redstone update order, and TT20 changes timing under low TPS, including for fluids, random ticks, and block breaking. In published synthetic tests, the pack reduced tick times across workloads involving zombie AI, idle and active hoppers, and redstone dust, while fresh-terrain results were mixed and did not establish a consistent speedup. The pack also had tradeoffs in those tests, including higher resident Java memory use and longer startup times, and its results do not guarantee performance gains for every world or server.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.3 · Fabric, 11 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 11 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 16 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 16 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
