WL Wither Storm is a modpack that makes it easier to install Cracker’s Wither Storm Mod, bringing the Minecraft: Story Mode Wither Storm boss into Minecraft Java with quality-of-life features. The encounter begins at a rundown house near the world origin, where placing the final wither skull on a command-block summoning structure calls the Storm into the world; it grows through phases and pursues players, who must survive while gathering supplies and preparing for the fight. A key mid-game challenge is the Withered Symbiont, a powerful, mutated zombie summoned by the Storm: it uses attacks such as evoker fangs, shulker bullets, arrows, fireballs, wither skulls and a pulling spell, then becomes vulnerable at a glowing mark on its back after summoning sickened mobs. Defeating the Symbiont yields an enchanted command block book, which can be used with super TNT to craft a formidibomb for the Storm, or at a smithing table with a diamond tool to make a command block tool. Wither sickness affects mobs and can also infect players, gradually reducing maximum health; golden apple stew starts a cure and can restore sickened mobs as well. The formidibomb splits the Storm, but it reactivates and evolves into a more dangerous multi-part threat; command block tools are needed for the final stages. The endgame takes the player inside the Storm through an opening into dark, foggy bowels filled with infected flesh, tainted blocks, tentacles, sickened mobs and further Symbiont fights, culminating in a battle against the command block and its defenses. Destroying the command block ends the Storm and rewards a withered nether star as a trophy.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.4 · Forge, 16 Mar 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 82 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
9 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 80 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 80 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
