About
Fancy Skies is an environmental resource pack focused on changing Minecraft’s atmosphere and appearance, with few changes to block textures. Its custom skies cover daytime, sunset and sunrise, starry nights, the End, and rainy or stormy weather. Rain and snowfall are made less intrusive, with white, transparent raindrops on screen. The pack adds 17 new cave ambience sounds, alongside sounds for footsteps on grass, gravel, dirt, stone, sand and wood, as well as lightning, breaking plant-related blocks, using an anvil, and drinking. It also includes varied Enderman and Drowned appearances, including differently colored Enderman eyes and glowing eyes for Drowned and Ghasts; the glowing effects are noted as affected by an OptiFine bug. Additional Vanilla Tweaks include different stems, red iron golem flowers, sticky piston sides, directional hoppers, better observers, transparent pumpkins, Wither Hearts and a ping color indicator. OptiFine is required for the pack’s custom sky features to work.
