Pixel Reality Luminance is a resource pack that changes Minecraft’s lighting and shading to create a more realistic look without shaders, and it can be layered over vanilla or another resource pack; it requires OptiFine for its changes to appear. It offers four variants: Full uses realistic shading and colors with weaker light sources, darker shadows, and pitch-black areas at light level 0, while strong light and heat sources can make night vision less effective, including in daytime and the Nether. Pale follows Full’s approach but keeps artificial lights in the Overworld closer to vanilla white, while retaining fire-red lights in the Nether and dim, yellowish lights in the End. Bright adds realistic shading and light colors while retaining vanilla brightness, and Light changes shading alone, keeping vanilla colors and brightness for a subtler visual change. The pack’s lighting and shadow effects are shown across the day, night, desert, Nether, and End, with comparisons between vanilla and several Luminance variants.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.6.1 to 1.19.2.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
In OptiFine's formats: custom colors.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.6.1 to 1.19.2.
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a resource pack cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A resource pack has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
