E2E-E is a continuation of the Enigmatica 2: Expert modpack
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 423 graded mods, 177 are graded A or B, 52 C and 194 D to F. Its last update came out 4 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Enigmatica 2: Expert Extended is an unofficial continuation of Enigmatica 2: Expert that expands and rebalances the expert-style modpack with additional mods, tweaks, and quality-of-life changes. Its progression is nonlinear: alternate recipes let players bypass tedious branches or skip dimensions such as the Twilight Forest, while carefully adjusted generators and reworked Tinkers’ Construct materials aim to keep powerful rewards earned rather than trivial. The pack adds original crafting and resource systems, including custom ore-processing lines, infusion enchantments, and essences that can transform into ores, such as burning an Ore Piece in Seared Stone to produce ore. Thaumcraft is woven into progression through expanded quests and rewards, magical steps in ore processing, and a reworked Refining infusion enchantment with more than 51 abilities. An expanded quest guide and recipe categories document lesser-known mechanics and items, with the stated aim that craftable items can be found in the in-game guide. Exploration brings improved caves, added structures and loot, and reworked planets with distinctive terrain and resources; players can also choose Open Terrain Generator world generation instead of Biomes O’ Plenty. The pack also offers an expert-expert Skyblock mode set in a starting void dimension, where progression depends on inventive resource generation, as well as Peaceful play with alternate recipes. Optional systems reward different play styles: bees are not required but can provide large storage and simpler technology recipes, while Rats offer shortcuts to cheaper resources. Other additions include LittleTiles for detailed building, including custom candles, and numerous new quality-of-life recipes such as compressed-block variants.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 28 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 26 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 427 of its 431 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 422 of its 427 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 11 of the 202 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
225 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
