    About

    Cartoony is a Minecraft shader that gives the world a vibrant, cel-shaded cartoon look, with smooth stepped lighting, bold depth-based outlines, and stylized color grading. Its visual effects include eight-level color banding, enhanced saturation and warmth, balanced contrast that preserves detail, and a subtle vignette around the screen edges. Normal-based shading adds a gentle sense of depth, while full lightmap support keeps torches, lava, and other light sources working with the cartoon style. A dedicated lighting pass helps keep held items visible, and smooth tonemapping supports consistent, accurate colors.
