Bliss is a customizable, fantasy-styled shaderpack built around the goal of making lighting and scenery vary with the player’s surroundings and conditions. Its visual effects include colored lighting from light sources, including light that can illuminate fog, and translucent colored shadows that let sunlight take on the tint of stained glass. The shader changes the atmosphere across dimensions and weather: it renders rain, overcast skies, sandstorms, and fog, with dedicated Nether and End looks and settings to adjust their fog. Clouds have multiple layers, including a high, fluffy layer, and can interact with the world. Water and caves have their own visual treatments, and screen effects include water splashes on entering or leaving water, motion blur, and depth of field. The pack also provides soft bloom, ambient occlusion and indirect lighting effects, waving plants, and configurable image color curves for adjusting dark and bright areas. It supports LabPBR material features such as reflections, roughness, metalness, subsurface scattering, emissive surfaces, and parallax occlusion mapping, and it supports Distant Horizons.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 50 shader programs, for the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Draws its own shadows, water, sky and weather.
Settings in 4 languages. Has programs for Distant Horizons.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
