About
Adventure Backpack is a wearable and placeable storage-and-survival mod centered on 76 backpack designs, most crafted from a Standard Backpack and 20 of which grant an ability while worn. Each backpack provides 39 storage slots, two tool slots that can swap tools with your hand, a 3×3 crafting grid, and two fluid tanks holding 4,000 mB each by default; crafting it into another type preserves its contents. Backpack abilities include night vision from the Bat, fire resistance from the Pigman, milk from wheat with the Cow, eggs from the Chicken, and the ability to tame wall-climbing, carrying spiders with the Spider backpack. A hose moves fluids between the world and the tanks and lets you drink from them for effects: milk clears status effects, melon juice speeds mining, and mushroom stew provides food. The wider adventure gear includes a reusable-magazine Clockwork Crossbow with repeating, grappling-hook, and sniper modes, plus a water-powered Steam Jetpack, a fuel-burning Copter Pack, scuba gear, and a fuel-fed flamethrower. A Fuel Station supplies the Copter Pack, flamethrower, and motorized inflatable boat, while the boat, Piston Boots, and Machete add further travel and exploration options. For camping, players can deploy a sleeping bag and place a campfire beside it to set a respawn point and cook raw food. Optional integrations let supported mods contribute fuels, steam, or breathable air, add recipes and materials, provide bauble-slot wear, or send the backpack to a grave on death.
